Improvement and a Reward

I purposely didn’t post much about Little Miss’s week until now. I don’t really think of myself as superstitious, but things were going pretty well, so I didn’t want to jinx it. Four out of five days this week were green days, which was terrific. We had told her last weekend that if she was able to have good week by being respectful, listening and not going to the principal’s office, she could pick out a movie from Red Box and we’d have a family movie night. On Tuesday it was looking grim. She hit a classmate when they wouldn’t do what she wanted and then she yelled at her teacher. Although not good, Miss G. told us that Little Miss was able to calm down, apologize and accept the consequences given by her teacher. We told her that day that the movie would depend entirely on how the rest of the week went, and fortunately it went well! Tonight we watched the original Nanny McPhee, which Little Miss picked out. How’s that for ironic? This was the first time she had seen the T.V. on in 10 days. She was riveted! She seems very tired tonight and we had some moments of attitude and whining that almost make me wonder if she might be getting sick. It’s hard to tell tired from sick from allergies and all are a possibility. Fortunately we don’t have any big plans this weekend. A trip to the pool and maybe a movie but other than that just relaxing and taking it easy.
